about nina
Nina recently returned from a six-week fellowship in St. Petersburg, Florida. She was studying highly collaborative multimedia storytelling at The Poynter Institute. She was selected as one of five Editor/Producers in a new role.

Since, Florida she has returned to Indy.com and The Indianapolis Star where she has been working since January. She was a Pulliam Fellow at The Star the year before. Last summer, Nina did work-experience at Dod's Parliament magazines and epolitix.com. While in London she also took courses and did design research.

Professionally, Nina has explored marketing design at Macrovision corporation, identity development for Amvare and non-profit work at Amnesty International, Desert Rose Promotions and the Kalapriya Dance Foundation.

Nina was born and raised in the Chicago area and came to Indiana for college. She completed her Journalism (design) and Political Science majors at Indiana University, Bloomington. At IU she art directed a new magazine, INside, which is noted for both its design and editorial awards. At the same time she launched the New Media Editor desk position for the daily newspaper.

Right now she is taking improv theater classes to get better at thinking on her feet and having fun. She has studied violin, piano, clarinet, guitar, ballet, jazz, theater, Brazilian Jui Jitsu, Tae Kwon Do, softball and is an avid concert-goer.
